Hi there, I work for Islington Council (London!)…at Willow Children Centre. Due to budget constraints and staffing issues, we are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to work with several children on the Autistic Spectrum. This is an Early Years setting (under 5s).We currently have 3 children on the spectrum. 1 severe, 1 moderate and 1 high functioning possibly with oppositional behaviour. In total we have 7 children with SEN, two have an IEP and 1 has been statemented. Our staff are very warm and friendly and hard working, exceptionally well qualified and experienced. We have many students coming and going and are frequently a placement for teacher training.Willow Children Centre is not the ideal environment for autistic children, being highly resourced and very stimulating, distractions are easy to come by. We have so many resources there is always a way of putting an activity together. So if you're creativity is stifled and you're itching to get some experience with Early Years and Autism get in touch and we'll be the bridge you've been looking for!If you're interested in volunteering for us call on 020 7527 1990/1 and ask for Martina, Ruth or Rob.Kind regardsRob
