      School shadow ABA therapist role(s) in mainstream school (Wandsworth, SW17)A family are searching for 1 or 2 therapists to work as a school shadow with their 8-year old son at his mainstream school in Wandsworth in close proximity to Tooting Bec underground and Wandsworth Common railway station. The family are looking to fill the following sessions: Monday and Tuesday afternoons (1pm-5pm) + Wednesday and Thursday mornings (8am-12pm). A weekend session at home is also available for any candidates interested in addition.The successful candidate(s) will be working with a high functioning boy demonstrating behavioural problems with a diagnosis of moderate expressive and receptive language disorder or SLI (specific language impairment). The job will have a focus on reducing some low level behaviour such as silly laughing, calling out in class and general disruption preventing him from focusing in class. The family require someone with a strong personality and gravitas to stick to their guns and be very consistent with the programme.The other aspect of the job will be with helping the child with appropriate play with peers with a VB-MAPP approach.Candidates will ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with older children and higher level language and social skills programmes.Hourly rate is negotiable and dependent on experience.Please send a C.V with a covering letter to davidhinman@abatutorfinder.com if you are interested in applying for this role.ABA Tutor Finder specialise in the placement of therapists working or wishing to work in the field of ABA.
