Having previously worked with children and young people with behavioural, physical and learning difficulties, including Autism, I feel that I have a wealth of experience in helping to contribute in meeting the educational, social and physical needs of children and young people. I have a calm and patient approach to challenging behaviour and offer an appropriate level of support and care.I am well organised, reliable and adaptable to various situations. I’m cheerful, warm and sociable and work well on a one to one basis with a child in my care. I have a good sense of humour which I believe is one of the most important aspects of working with children and young people and seeing a child progress both academically and emotionally gives a great sense of achievement. I have completed NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools and courses including Autism, Positive Reinforcement, Values and Person Centred Care, Intensive Interaction and Epilepsy First Aid.
