Hello,I have only just found you guys.We have a daughter with ASD. She is 21 (next week) and we didn't get a diagnosis until she was 14, even though we were pushing doctors etc because we knew there was something different about her.She seemed (still does) able to say the "right things" when doctors were examining her, so they thought all was well. She is terrible with social interaction often saying and doing inappropriate things. She lives with her partner (he is early 30s and has special needs also) and is expecting their first child in October.Although we are excited by this, we are also extremely worried about their abillity to cope. My wife and I will give 100% support and will do what we can.I can tell you this though...the stress levels have always been high, bringing up an ASD angel, especially as our second (and last) daughter had to take second place to her needier big sister, but I had hoped that they would subside a bit now middle age has kicked in (50). No such relief though. Both our daughters have brought us a lot of pleasure and a lot of heartache. I guess this is the lifelong legacy of children in general and "special" children in particular.Oh well, that's me for now.CheersPeter
