Full-time LSA role at SEN school – Chelsea, London (SW3)

ABA Tutor Finder are looking for a therapist with ABA experience to work as a Learning Support Assistant with a 11-year old boy who has physical and learning disabilities Monday to Friday 08:15am-16:15pm.

This is a full-time position with the successful candidate being employed by the SEN school based in Chelsea.

The child’s physical difficulties include cerebral palsy and epilepsy, although he is able to walk and do some actions unaided. His learning – especially his processing speed – is severely affected and his speech, while clear at time, needs prompting to communicate his needs. He is otherwise a sociable, highly active, but anxious boy. He requires the input of a behavioural support team at home and at school that uses Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) strategies, for which on-going training is provided.

The family is currently living in East Sheen with the special school located in Chelsea. His parents are looking for someone they can trust to be completely reliable in providing appropriate support for their child at school during the school term.

The Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is to assist the child at school for 40 hours a week for 34 weeks a year. There is another LSA who will work alongside this post throughout the week and an ABA supervisor who provides guidance and support to the LSA role. The successful candidate will also need to attend regular team meetings and ABA workshops.

The successful candidates will have experience as an ABA tutor.

Salary range: £26,500-£29,000 per annum. Includes paid school holidays.

Please send a C.V with a covering letter to davidhinman@abatutorfinder.com if you are interested in applying for this role.
