      Hello,

We are Jojo and Maxie, two postgraduate students studying MSc Child Development at UCL Institution of Education, and we are focusing our dissertation projects on parenting experiences and mental health of fathers of children with autism, which is supervised by Dr Dagmara Dimitriou who is working at the Lifespan Learning and Sleep Laboratory (LiLAS). As current research about parenting experiences is mostly from the mother’s perspective, we would like to understand further from the father’s point of view.

Our study involves an online survey (and an interview), which are both voluntary for fathers to participate. The survey will ask questions about the father, father’s wellbeing, and about his child(ren) with autism, which will take about 35-45 minutes. Father’s identity will be kept anonymous, in which the father’s name and contact information (e.g. email address) will not be stored with the survey data. Furthermore, if any father wants to contribute further to our research, we are also conducting interviews about his experience of raising an autistic child, and please contact Jojo (wing.li.18@ucl.ac.uk) for further details.

This is the link to our survey: https://redcap.slms.ucl.ac.uk/surveys/?s=ECKL97P8L4

As we would like to learn more about paternal parenting experiences, we greatly appreciate your help! Thank you very much!

      Kind regards,
      Jojo Li (wing.li.18@ucl.ac.uk) & Maxie-Louise Junker (maxie-louise.junker.18@ucl.ac.uk)
