Hi everyone… I have no connection to Autism at all. I just randomly found a thing online about an autistic teenage girl in America called Carly Fleischmann. You may all know the story… she used the family laptop and was able to express her fear and hurt. Her father, a decent man, Arthur Fleischmann has now written a book called “Carly's Voice”. Carly had been so disruptive and made little progress and her Dad said that when Carly typed in HURT and HELP,they found it hard to believe. She is now very articulate through the laptop. Her Dad said that he was horrified because they'd talked in front of her as though she wasn't there, for years. He says he has now 'met' his daughter, now that she can tell him exactly what life is like for her. I apologise if you have heard about this but it was such an amazing true and hopeful story that I didn't want to miss passing it on to you all. Sincerely, Christine Jennison.
