Note: SFTAH transferred this from old data base when site was updated, thus date and name lost, all dates 2006 & 2007 changed during changeover to odd dates. It seems to me that all focus(v little) is on kids with autism, do people not care about adults with autism? Obviously not!!very sad

Hello Iolar, this is just not the case, there are many organisations and sites set up with the express intention of helping adults with autism.
The National Autistic Society has been running a very vigorous campaign Called “Think Differently” and part of this was “I Exist” which has been so successful that the UK government announced this week it is gong to carry out a full audit of those with autism, especially adults and this will lead to much better care all over the country. I have been backing this campaigning along with the NAS Think Differently Team and my MP has been strenuously backing this cause.
I am sorry if you have not been made aware of these efforts, here are some important links to help you :

Many beilieved autism is in the now, noone had any idea just how many autistic adults there are.yes there is more focus on children because helping our kids now will stop what we had to go through has children. My childhood was horrific. But now the realization has kicked in there are indeed more and more services being put into place for adults.http://autismandaspergersinthefamily.freeforums.org/index.phphttp://aspergersadults.freeforums.org/index.php
