keep working on the PECSgoing in the room.Only go in a little at first wait for has has long has he tolerates you then go away,do it every few minutes each time moveing slightly nearer.Also putting a sort f sfatey circle of cushions will clam him and make him feel more secure,show him pecs to say this is your space no one will cross it.I have some printable PECS on my forum,I can also make additonal ones if needed.I also have info on teaching personel space.http://autismandaspergersinthefamily.freeforums.org/social-circles-personal-space-safety-t315.html
